ECCLESIAL FELLOWS

We are often asked about internship programs at Trinity Presbyterian Church. The Trinity Ecclesial Fellows Program is a nine-month (September–May) program for men and women who have recently graduated from college and want to explore the possibility of a calling to work in and through the local church. Whether that calling may be to ordained pastoral ministry, music ministry, local justice and missions work, or another form of professional ministry, the Trinity Ecclesial Fellows Program seeks to provide theological, spiritual, and ministry formation for those exploring an ecclesial calling.

In addition to accredited seminary courses, exercises in spiritual formation, and the exercise and development of ministry skills, Ecclesial Fellows work directly under a ministry staff person in their field.

The pervasive element in our two-thousand-year pastoral tradition is not someone who ‘gets things done’ but rather the person placed in the community to pay attention and call attention to ‘what is going on right now’ between men and women, with one another and with God—this kingdom of God that is primarily local, relentlessly personal, and prayerful ‘without ceasing.’
